Jobcentre Plus launches digital TV service
Government employment agency extends its reach by adding work search service via Freeview, cable and Sky.

There's now no need to get off the couch to find a job, as Jobcentre Plus has extended its employment search service by offering listings via digital TV.
The Department of Work and Pension's Jobcentre Plus is working in partnership with government portal Looking Local to offer digital TV customers access to job advertisements from the comfort of their couch.
People with digital, cable or Freeview television services can use the interactive text service to scroll and search through full job listings.
"With over 70 per cent of homes now owning at least one digital TV set a greater number of people have access to digital TV than the web. This is a great way to bring a comprehensive job search facility to those without access to the internet," said Employment Minister Jim Murphy.
