With Windows 7 now revealed to the attendees of PDC, we can now start the process of digging deeper into the early version of the new OS to see just how much has changed from Windows 7.
Microsoft has stressed that Windows 7 is more than just a cosmetic facelift of Vista to appease a marketplace keen to see the US software giant release a new desktop operating system every two to three years, highlighting significant under-the-bonnet changes and optimisation work.
IT PRO has its hands on the latest pre-beta build, and will be producing a first look in the coming days. In the meantime, we have assembled the following gallery to give you a first-hand look at the UI changes, new features and data management options.
