Vodafone offers new pay-as-you-go modem
Vodafone users will now be able to access 3G networks without fully committing to a contract.
Vodafone has released a new pay-as-you-go USB modem for 39, allowing users to access its mobile broadband network without the need of a contract.
The new TopUP and Go' modem will be in direct competition with offerings from O2, T-Mobile and Orange, and will also offer 15 credit which gives 1GB of data.
Vodafone said that unlike other pay-as-you-go services, the 1GB of data will not expire after 30 days, which it says gives customers value for money.
Once the first 1GB of data is used, customers will be able to top up with a 15 voucher or by credit or debit card
It is capable of speeds of up to 3.6Mbps, but customers should only expect speeds of up to 1Mbps to 2Mbps. The modem will also double as a 4GB USB memory stick.
