Vista SP2 Release Candidate available for download
Microsoft Windows Vista and Server 2008 SP2 RC is now available for testers to download.
The release candidate (RC) for the next update to Microsoft Windows Vista and Server 2008 is now available for public testers to download.
The Windows Vista and Server 2008 SP2 RC was offered for download to TechNet and MSDN subscribers at the end of last month. The RC is for testing prior to the final version being released, which Microsoft said would happen in the second quarter of the year.
Windows communications manager Brandon LeBlanc advised in a blog post that testers remove the SP2 beta before downloading the release candidate.
Last month, he explained that "SP2 for Windows Vista and Windows Server 2008 include updates that have been delivered since the release of SP1, as well as support for new types of hardware and emerging standards."
