HTC to launch 'at least' three Android phones this year
Rumours of five new android handsets have been answered today, revealing three will be rolled out this year.
HTC's chief executive has confirmed that 2009 will see further releases of Google Android handsets.
Internet rumour mills had speculated that five further handsets would be released this year and were waiting to have their theories either confirmed or denied.
Speaking at the Merrill Lynch Technology Conference, chief executive and co-founder of HTC, Peter Chou, answered their question by saying there will be "at least" three more HTC Google-powered smartphones before the end of the year.
The assumption has been made that one of these three will be the HTC Magic, due to launch next month exclusively on Vodafone.
Chou also said that the company would produce a total of 10 new smartphones before the year is out.
The term "at least" has meant the speculation of more handsets continues but only time will tell just what else HTC has up its sleeve.
