LG is claiming its new W53 series of monitors is easy on the eyes, with automated brightness controls to help reduce eyestrain.
The new Auto Brightness system automatically adjusts settings such as brightness based on the light in the room and what's being viewed on screen, LG claims. Reducing the back light will help keep eyes from straining and reduces power consumption, it added.
The new high-definition LCD monitor lineup also comes with a timer to tell users to take a break now and then.
"LG has conducted extensive research around monitor usage in Europe and found one of the main complaints people had was eyestrain, caused by the screen being either too bright or too dark," claimed Soyeon Shin, marketing manager of LG's business solutions company, in a statement.
The W53 series ranges from 18.5 inches to 27 inches, and offer 1920x1080 high-def resolution on screens above 21.5 inches. The series will be available in the UK from next month.
