iPhone 3G S hits the UK today
Apple's next generation iPhone, the 3G S is available in the UK from today - the same day that Nokia's rival N97 device hits the shops too.

Apple's much anticipated, and much improved, next generation iPhone, the iPhone 3G S hits the UK today.
Still available exclusively on the O2 network, in traditional fashion, the mobile giant opened some of its stories at 8.02am this morning. It also went on sale at the same time at Apple and Carphone Warehouse stores.
"The iPhone continues to be a phenomenal device with over a million O2 customers owning one. The combination of the new software update available to all and the new range of iPhone 3G S devices allows us to continue to differentiate O2 in the marketplace." Ronan Dunne, O2 UK's chief executive, said in a statement.
IT PRO's technology editor Benny Har-Even is in the queue for the iPhone 3G S at one of O2's stores on Oxford Street. He'll be updating us as to whether it's a long queue or just a small crowd or not via Twitter, in addition to making that all-important decision as to whether to buy or not to buy.
