iPhone and iPod touch users can now access HSBC's business banking services on the move.
It is the first time a business banking service has been offered on the Apple devices and it follows the bank's launch of the service last October for Blackberry users.
Huw Morgan, head of business banking at HSBC, said in a statement: "Currently 70 per cent of our business customers choose to transact over the internet. These range from start-ups to large corporates but the fundamentals are the same our customers want safe, instant access to their business accounts on platforms that suits them, at a time that is convenient."
The service will allow business customers to access their accounts 24/7 and include the ability to make payments of up to 100,000 a day, get real-time balances and transactions and even apply for an overdraft.
Morgan continued: "By providing our award-winning Business Internet Banking service for iPhone and iPod Touch devices, coupled with our offering for BlackBerry devices, we are providing the most comprehensive Business Internet Banking service in the UK and Europe... and we intend to support more devices in the future."
The service is free and current internet banking customers do not need to register.
