Office 2010 beta arrives for Microsoft subscribers
The beta for Office 2010 has arrived for members of Microsoft's TechNet.


The beta for Microsoft's Office 2010 has arrived for TechNet subscribers and MSDN developers, with the public download expected later this week.
The next version of Microsoft's Office suite was unveiled in technical preview in July - read our review of the Office 2010 preview here.
The full version is expected to be unveiled at the beginning of next year, alongside a public beta of SharePoint 2010. The download website is already available here.
It will bring with it a set of shiny new features to Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote and Outlook, including bringing the Ribbon user interface to the latter.
Alongside it, Microsoft is releasing a free web-based version of the Office lineup, which is already available in a test version.
