Xerox sues Google and Yahoo over patent infringement
In yet another patent dispute, Xerox is attempting to sue Yahoo, Google and YouTube for infringing on search and integration technology it owns.

Xerox is filing law suits against three of the biggest names on the internet, claiming they have infringed patents owned by the famous document management company.
It filed the suit on Friday in the US District Court for Delaware, claiming that Google, YouTube and Yahoo have infringed patents on its search and integration technology.
Bill McKee, a spokesperson from Xerox, told Bloomberg: "We've been in dialogue with Google and Yahoo for some time without coming to a resolution."
"We believe we have no option but to file suit to properly protect our intellectual property."
More specifically, it has alleged AdWords and AdSense by Google use a Xerox patent for automatically generating queries while Google Maps, Google Video and Google-owned YouTube infringe an integration patent.
Yahoo has been accused of infringements of both patents with its Yahoo Search Marketing, Yahoo Shopping and Yahoo Publisher Network services.
We contacted both Yahoo and Google for comment on the case but neither had responded to our request at the time of publication.

This is not the first technology patent infringement case in the news lately.
Apple is embroiled in an ongoing battle with Nokia where both companies are accusing each other of stealing technologies while Kodak is going after Apple and RIM for allegedly breaching camera technology patents.
