Men dominate mobile social networking
A new report from Orange has shown men use their mobiles much more when it comes to social networking or watching videos than female users.

Men have the monopoly on using their mobiles for more feature rich applications, according to a new report.
The Orange Digital Media Index, which examines statistics from the operator's 17.4 million users, showed that while the fairer sex sent a lot more texts than their male counterparts, men used their phones significantly more for social networking and viewing videos.
The report showed that men viewed 33 per cent more pages on social networking sites than women via their handheld devices.
They also accounted for 75 per cent of mobile video purchases and 71 per cent of mobile TV clip viewings than women.
However, when it came to the more traditional use for a mobile phone, women took the lead.
The report showed significantly more of the 63 million SMS texts sent everyday were sent by women, with those over 60 sending 48 per cent more than men in the same age bracket.
When it came to mobile gaming, both sexes shared the number of downloads 650,000 over the past three months however the types of games varied, with men giving preference to time related challenges like Tetris and women choosing strategic games that were less time sensitive like Trivial Pursuit.
