This week in IT, acquisition rumours swirl around Palm and Apple, while quarterly results show a positive picture for the industry.
Shopping spree
Rumours abounded this week that Palm was up for sale, and set to be picked up by HTC, Lenovo or another tech firm. HTC has denied it's in the buying mood, and Palm itself has said it's happy to stay on its own, but that hasn't stopped the gossip from swirling.
Apple has also been the centre of acquisition stories, with chatter claiming the firm is looking at picking up AMD or ARM.
