US trade body looks into Apple's complaint against Kodak

The US International Trade Commission (USITC) will investigate Apple's claims that Kodak infringed on its digital camera patents.

The USITC will be looking into Apple's claims that Kodak violated two of its patents in its digital cameras. Apple has asked the trade body to stop the import of the Kodak digital cameras in question.

Apple filed the claim in April, a few months after Kodak filed its own complaint saying its digital camera patents were being infringed by smartphones made by Apple as well as Research in Motion. The USITC is also investigating that claim.

The trade body noted that the investigation did not mean it had "made any decision on the merits of the case."

As of yet there's no date set for a decision in the investigation, but the USITC said it would issue an update in 45 days.
