Samsung updates Q Series with new i3 and i5 models
The Q320's success has inspired Samsung to treble its Q Series stable, offering three screen sizes, Intel Core processors and prices starting at £599.

Samsung has introduced three new models to its Q Series, offering a combination of lightweight and affordable features along with Intel Core i3 and i5 processors.
Last year's Q320 kicked off the Q Series line, and did so with great success, with the Q320's combination of Intel Core 2 Duo power, a 13.4in LED-backlit display and a highly competitive price tag earning it a place among IT PRO's 10 favourite laptops of the year.
Now Samsung has extended the range, and bumped the processor to Intel's latest. There are three form factors to choose from, the 13.3in Q330, the 14in Q430 and the 15.6in Q530. All three boast brushed metal bodies designed to deliver both visual appeal and lightweight portability, complete with chiclet-style keys and a choice of i3 or i5 processing power inside.
The Q330 manages to weigh in just under the 2kg mark, while even the bulkiest Q530 tips the scales at 2.39kg and is only 32.75mm thick at its widest point respectable for a 15.6in notebook.
Regardless of screen size, all options come equipped with the latest Bluetooth 3.0 specification, wireless-N Wi-Fi and storage of up to 640GB. The entry-level Q330 has Nvidia GeForce 310M graphics as an option, while the larger two models offer GeForce 330M instead.
Being aimed primarily at budget-conscious users, display resolution is limited to a non-HD 1366 x 768, but all models have an on-board HDMI port for connecting to a higher-quality external screen.
The Samsung Q Series goes on sale in the UK later this month, with prices starting at 599 including VAT.
