Adobe buys Day Software
An offer of $240 million will see Day Software integrated into Adobe’s Digital Enterprise Solutions business.
Adobe today confirmed it has entered into a $240 million (154 million) deal to acquire Enterprise Content Management company Day Software.
Adobe will buy all publicly held registered shares for this amount and integrate the software company into its Digital Enterprise Solutions division.
Rob Tarkoff, senior vice president and general manager of Digital Enterprise Solutions at Adobe, said: "Adobe's acquisition of Day represents a key milestone in our efforts toward delivering best-in-class customer experience management solutions to enterprises and governments worldwide."
"With the addition of Day to our enterprise portfolio, we will be able to enhance the value of our offering and deliver on our vision of the web as the hub of customer interaction."
As part of the deal, Day's chief executive (CEO), Eric Hansen, will join Adobe and report to Tarkoff, but it is not clear yet what his job title will be.
"We are excited to join Adobe and combine our expertise [and] we believe this is a winning combination for both Adobe and Day customers," said Hansen.
The deal has already received the thumbs up from Day's board of directors, but the customary government approvals will still have to go through before the deal completes.
