Rock and tech: the perfect duo?
We are not the first to see the link between tech enthusiasts and rock fans, but in this feature Jennifer Scott asks whether this connection can be explained and where it came from.
If it becomes a hobby for all rather than a passion for the few, will the link to alternative music culture still exist or will Take That admirers be just as likely to be programmers as Megadeth fans? Perhaps this is a way off yet
In conclusion, no, not all techies are rockers and not all rockers are techies. But the cross section of intelligent, creative people who feel able to work in an area they excel at, be creative and have the sense of belonging is strong. Perhaps technology and rock music make the perfect duo.
We would love to hear what you think about this. Is there a link between music and technology? Or do you see other lifestyle choices that connect the tech world? Let us know at comments@itpro.co.uk.
