HTC brings smartphone strategies to UK business
The Taiwanese mobile manufacturer focuses on support for UK business customers.
The UK arm of HTC has launched new dedicated services to help business customers on our shores.
HTC Business is a new division of the company with a focus on integrating smartphones into corporate environments and aiding companies when choosing which handsets and platforms suit them best.
"The HTC brand is increasingly gaining traction with consumers across the globe but our heritage lies in the business market," said Jon French, executive director of HTC UK, Ireland and South Africa.
"Smartphones are increasingly connecting to business networks, creating more productive mobile workforces and saving organisations money by consolidating the number of devices traditionally used by employees. With HTC Business, we are ideally positioned to help organisations of all sizes take this step."
Although HTC is now primarily associated with handsets based on Google's Android mobile operating system, it was the first company to release a Microsoft Windows-based phone back in 2002 and now offers a wide range of devices based on the latest Windows Phone 7 OS.
Along with a technical support team and training team, HTC has launched a new website to help advise business customers. Companies will also be able to test out handsets and solutions before committing to a contract.
"Innovation and agility are two avenues through which small and medium sized businesses in the UK are looking to beat the current economic pressures," added French.
