Plextor unveils latest M2S SSD range
The M2S series offers three capacities and a 10 year lifespan, claims the company.
A new range of solid state drives (SSDs) are set to hit our shores in the next few weeks, thanks to storage specialist Plextor.
The M2S series, the second generation of this range, measure 2.5in and come in three different capacities 64GB, 128GB and 256GB.
The SSDs feature the SATA III 6Gbps interface. Plextor claimed the SSDs also had read speeds of up to 480MBps, along with write speeds of up to 330MBps.
Along with the claims of being the fastest SSD on the market, Plextor also said the range had a lifespan of 10 years without a fall in performance over that time.
The SSDs also come with Acronis True Image software to help with a simple migration for those moving from hard disks for the first time.
The M2S series will launch in the UK in March of this year but pricing will not be confirmed until the launch. The company has guaranteed a three year warranty as standard.
