Salesforce has brought in revenues of $546 million (329 million) this quarter, leading to high expectations for the rest of the year.
The US cloud computing giant announced the revenues late last week, which equated to a 38 per cent rise year-on-year.
Subscription and support revenue came in just shy of $510 million also a 38 per cent increase from last year with the other $37 million made from professional services and other revenues rising by 44 per cent.
Customer numbers also impressed the industry with 6,300 being added in three months a quarterly record for Salesforce. The company now has 104,000 businesses using its services.
The stellar results have led the company to tout high expectations for the next quarter, as well as raise its revenue predictions for fiscal year 2012.
The firm expects revenues of between $568 - $570 million for the third quarter and now believes it will achieve between $2.22 to $2.23 billion up from $2.15 - $2.17 billion for the entire fiscal year.
Salesforce claims this figure will make it the first enterprise cloud computing company to exceed $2.1 billion in annual revenues.
Chief executive Marc Benioff, made no direct comment on the results, instead choosing to advertise the company's annual conference at the start of September.
