Unite members at Fujitsu Manchester have backed down and cancelled a planned strike.
Unite has suspended action due to an agreement reached during last minute decisions. Any further action has also been suspended, including a planned demonstration at the Tory party's conference in Manchester, according to Unite.
"Our members do not take strike action lightly. The agreement reached is good news for both our members and for Fujitsu," said Kevin O'Gallagher, Unite national officer.
"Further talks are planned with the company. We hope this will produce an improved offer, which we will put to our members."
On 19 September, Union members staged a 24-hour walkout at the IT company's offices in Central Park, Manchester. They also, at the time, threatened further demonstrations.
The disagreement started last month over agreements of pay, benefits, recognition and redundancy.
Unite joined forces with the Public and Commercial Services (PCS) union last month for a joint strike, even though the two had separate disputes with the tech giant.
There has been no update from the PCS on the cancelled strike action.
