1Password launches extension for third party iOS 8 apps
1Password has revealed an iOS 8 extension with Touch ID support for use in third party apps

Security app 1Password has launched an iOS 8 extension and Touch ID support, allowing people to use its features in third party apps automatically.
AgileBits, the developers responsible for the popular password security app, have unveiled the extension along with a video demonstration of how it will work, making it easier than ever for individuals to use login data stored in 1Password when logging into third party apps.
In a blog post announcing the update, AgileBits wrote: "Thanks to Apple's incredible new developer features in iOS 8, third-party apps can let 1Password fill Logins without the user ever leaving the app.
"We want to share our holy grail with all apps: the convenience of one-tap Logins and the security of strong, unique passwords with 1Password."
It also has Touch ID support, increasing security even further, and will reportedly remember new logins as well as storing ones already saved to the app.
The extension works with browsers and third party apps alike, introducing a 1Password button that allows users to access their login details without exiting the app they are using.
Though this is already possible on the Mac, iOS 7 has previously made it impossible to access 1Password through external apps, requiring users to switch between the two and copy information across. This extension thus makes it much easier and quicker to log in securely.
