Micro-P expands premises
Distributor needs more space for growing mobile business

Micro-P has extended its Basingstoke HQ by 6,000sqft to house its growing Mobile and Telco divisions, which the firm says grew 172 percent last year.
The latest expansion follows the distributor’s move last year to larger premises to accommodate a 31 percent increase in staff.
The increased sq ft will host a mobility showroom demonstrating leading mobile and accessory products from leading manufacturers such as Nokia, Samsung, Jawbone, Jabra and Tech21.
Paul Bryan, commercial & sales director at Micro-P explains, “Our successful growth strategy has accelerated the development of the company and we needed an extra building to house our expanded Mobile and Telco Divisions which grew a phenomenal 172 percent in 2011. Chineham Park has been our home since 1991 and the obvious communication benefits make this location perfect for our business, further enhanced by the additional amenities for our staff on site."
Micro-P is a subsidiary of parent company DCC PLC, Ireland’s sixth largest company. The disti doubled its business over the last four years, achieving revenues in excess of £650m in 2011. This includes its recent acquisition of consumables distributor Advent Data, Ireland’s largest distributor Sharptext, and Tekdata, SonicWALL’s largest European distributor.
