Tech Data launches new website aimed at SMB resellers
Portal to provide access to SMB sales and services tools

Tech Data has unveiled a new set of online tools for SMB resellers, including a new marketing portal that gives them access to a template emails, web banners and white papers from major vendors.
The new website also offers a set of web store options with a simple data feed provided free of charge. The resources are being made accessible through Tech Data Accelerate, an SMB-focused microsite that also provides links to Tech Data’s Credit Elevator, vendor partner programmes and events.
The portal has developed to provide a means for resellers to produce customer emails from a range of marketing templates, which they can change with their own messages, links and contact details.
Over 30 vendors are represented in the portal, including HP, Microsoft, and Samsung providing SMB messaging, and Public Sector-focused messages provided by Cisco, Dell, Lenovo and others.
The template emails focus on a wide spectrum of topics and messages, to product announcements and tactical pricing promotions. Resellers can mix and match messages to achieve a broad market appeal.
The Tech Data Web Store service is also accessible via the Accelerate pages. Resellers and retailers that register can make use of a data feed free of charge, enabling them to offer display details and pricing of Tech Data’s entire portfolio within their own website.
For £395 per annum, resellers can have their own ecommerce site with fully-functioning shopping cart, allowing customers to place orders online with them. Tech Data will despatch orders directly to the end user in the reseller’s name. A full website construction and maintenance service is also available for £995 per annum.

Cathi Low, director of SMB at Tech Data, says: “The creation of these important new tools is part of Tech Data’s ongoing programme of development and investment in making it easier for resellers to do business.
“We have listened to our customers and developed these resources to meet their needs. We see the Marketing Portal as an important tool for resellers who are unable to generate their own marketing materials and we believe a great many resellers will be able to use it on a regular basis.”
