Tech Data's UK chief becomes Europe SVP for digital
Andy Gass will be in charge of transforming Tech Data's digital strategy
Tech Data has appointed Andy Gass as Europe SVP, helping develop the its digital transformation strategy in the region.
His main focus will be digitising the company's ecommerce platforms, digital marketing practices and automated processes across departments, ensuring the entire company is invested in Tech Data's future.
Gass will report to Patrick Zammit, president of Tech Data Europe, with whom he will work closely to ensure the business's wider strategic objectives are achieved.
“The appointment of Andy Gass to this newly created role heralds a renewed strategic focus on the digitalisation of our business model and go-to-market strategy in Europe,” said Zammit.
“With Andy’s extensive experience and deep knowledge of the distribution channel, I am confident we will set the roadmap to delivering a truly best-in-class digital experience for our customers and vendors across all our operations.”
Gass has filled various roles at Tech Data since he first joined the distributor in 1993, most recently as managing director of the UK and Ireland.
