Plantronics announces revamp of its EMEA leadership team
Paul Clark has been appointed to the position of senior vice president for the region
Unified communications (UC) firm Plantronics has announced a shake-up of its EMEA leadership team, with Paul Clark appointed to the position of senior vice president for the region.
Expanding on his current role, Clark will now manage the joint sales teams for the combined Plantronics and Polycom business - encompassing voice, video, content and cloud products for customers.
With opportunity in the UC market growing, the move uniquely positions Plantronics to meet needs for easier and more consistent communication and collaboration, the company said.
“Paul Clark’s industry and business management experience makes him ideal to head up the combined sales business for Plantronics and Polycom in EMEA,” said Jeff Loebbaka, executive vice president of global sales at Plantronics. “He will bring standardisation to sales, which will ensure we meet or exceed all of our partners and customers expectations.
“The industry is constantly evolving, and the strength in our portfolio needs the right structure in place at a critical time when customers demand high-quality audio and video solutions that are easy to buy, use and manage.”
A Plantronics employee for almost 25 years, Clark held the position of EMEA marketing director for the first ten years, before overseeing European product management and then moving into various sales leadership roles. In early 2016, he was promoted to the position of managing director of Plantronics Europe and Africa.
During his time at Plantronics so far, Clark launched the first reseller programme, took the business into the retail market and was an early champion on the development of the wireless headset – a factor the company says has been a significant contributor to its growth.

“It’s an exciting time to be in the UC and collaboration industry,” said Clark said. “With the growth of new workspaces and dispersed collaboration showing no signs of abating, there are huge opportunities for us, our partners and end users.
“The combination of Plantronics and Polycom gives us one of the largest portfolios of communications devices with a breadth of capabilities to meet our customers’ needs. We are here to tame the communication chaos and enable people to just focus on what they need to be doing, by delivering easy, intuitive and consistent experiences for people connecting from any device, location or UC cloud platform.”
