Dimension Data bolsters UK management team
Dimension Data recruits new sales and services directors to support move to IT-as-a-Service

Dimension Data today has announced a number of key UK appointments to meet its objective to double its UK revenues by 2018.
Richard Lockey (pictured) takes the role of sales director, with responsibility for the company’s UK and Ireland sales operations. Based at Dimension Data’s UK headquarters in Fleet, Hampshire, he will lead the company’s initiative “to build long-term, consultative-led relationships” with its clients, as organisations continue to shift towards cloud-based and outsourced IT models.
Prior to this role, Lockey held the post of sales director, consumer industries at Dimension Data UK. His 18 year career has also included roles at Equant/Orange Business Services, Netigy and 3Com.
Joining the company as UK services director is Mike Morrison, also based in Fleet. Morrison will head up Dimension Data’s managed services and professional services teams, assuring the delivery of the company’s IT-as-a-Service offering and portfolio of outsourced IT services. He joins from CSC where he was global service management director.
“We’ve seen considerable growth in demand in the UK over recent years, as organisations ditch their traditional CAPEX-based consumption models in favour of IT-as-a-Service, which has the power to drive business change,” says Dimension Data UK’s MD Calvin Goom.
“Richard and Mike’s combined skills add huge credibility to our service offering. Their track records of partnering with clients to develop and deliver high quality, flexible and transformative IT services make them great assets to our UK team.”
Other new appointments include Rob Dunachie, solutions director, Christopher Lewis, marketing & alliances director, and Mark Petty, IT outsourcing sales director. Dunachie, Lewis and Petty all held senior roles at NextiraOne, which Dimension Data acquired in February 2014, and has now been integrated into Dimension Data’s UK business operations.
