Accenture acquires Salesforce consultant Tquila
Tquila will become part of Accenture’s Emerging Platforms as part of the deal

Accenture (NYSE:ACN) has acquired independent Salesforce (NYSE:CRM) consulting services provider Tquila to boost its presence as a Salesforce services and cloud provider.
Tquila specialises in delivering cloud solutions powered by the Salesforce1 platform and as part of the merger, Tquila will become part of Accenture’s Emerging Platforms business within Accenture Technology.
100 of Tquila's staff will join Accenture, more than doubling the company's workforce and enabling it to become one of the UK's biggest Salesforce providers with 185 consultants.
Emma McGuigan, managing director, Accenture Technology, UK and Ireland says: “We have seen significant growth in SaaS as more companies adopt the cloud and digital strategies to collaborate better, drive greater operational efficiencies and accelerate the development of new products and services.”
She explains that to become a leader in Salesforce solutions, Accenture needed to boost the number of consultants and taking on Tquila allowed it to do just this.
Mark Wakelin, CEO, Tquila adds: “Being able to offer deep technology skills coupled with industry-experience at scale is critical to getting ahead in the market.
“As one of the largest pure-play Salesforce partners in Europe, we have those skills, and Accenture has the scale. By joining Accenture, we can offer our Salesforce expertise and experience to an even wider range of clients.”
