SCH Distribution (SCHd) has formally completed the purchase of distributor IQSys with the goal of gaining a significant share of the Citrix market in the UK.
IQSys is the largest Citrix distributor in the UK. The combine companies will now account for more than 60 percent of UK sales, based on current figures. SCHd says it will retain and build on the IQ Sys identity, which will trade alongside its other distribution brands.
Comments Kevin Bland, partner sales director UK and Ireland at Citrix: “As SCHd has held the rights to distribute Citrix for more than 10 years, the purchase reflects the deliberate decision to build upon their reach further into the channel and take IQSys’ skills, also a Citrix distributor for over a decade, into their own extended base.”
This latest acquisition is one of a number of moves by SCH Group including the acquisition of ISI in 2008, becoming a key partner for IBM and Sun technologies; and investing in VMware and Symantec.
