Westcon Group to acquire Intact Integrated Services

Two gentlemen pushing puzzle pieces together

Global ICT distributor Westcon Group has confirmed it’s to acquire Intact Integrated Services, UK provider of project, support, and managed services to the channel.

Formerly a direct subsidiary of Westcon’s parent company Datatec Limited, Intact offers targeted lifecycle services and project management support primarily to the Cisco channel. Its service capability covers LAN/WAN infrastructures, IP communications, wireless and security to a range of server-based computing and application skills, including datacentre design and deployment, virtualisation, cloud and storage solutions, as well as application development and support.

Westcon says Intact will become a critical piece of Weston Group’s Global Services Solution Practice, led by executive VP, Pedro Galatas. The practice’s focus areas include security, Unified Communications and collaboration, datacentre, cloud, and global deployment.

“Each of our practices is designed to help partners benefit from the deep technology expertise and real-world business solutions we bring to the table -reflecting how Westcon provides greater value-add than any other distributor in the market today,” comments Westcon Group CEO, Dolph Westerbos. “As a leader in channel services, Intact will become strong foundation in our services practice, helping partners generate new revenue streams via value-added services.”

“Westcon is a distributor who truly ‘gets’ value-added services and our unique business model. This level of commitment fits perfectly into our ‘Create, Deliver, Support’ business pillars,” adds Alan Rosser, CEO, Intact Integrated Services. “With strong experience in the networking, security, data centre and cloud space – and one of the deepest global footprints – Westcon is the perfect match to take our leadership even further.”

Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed and the transaction is expected to close in May 2014.
