Apple named best private sector company to work at
iPhone maker one of two tech firms on Indeed's list of top companies to work for in the UK
Apple has been named the number one private sector company to work for in the UK, by recruitment website Indeed.
The Cupertino tech giant topped a list of 25 companies that are either from the UK or have a presence in the country. Indeed said its popularity was due to its "combination of enjoyable work culture, good rates of pay and free or discounted tech".
"A market leader in personal computers, mobile telephones, tablets and other smart technology products and services, Apple's enormous global reach has clearly not compromised its approach to its staff," an Indeed said.
"Apple has long defined itself as being one of the most progressive companies in the world when it comes to its products and this extends to how it treats its employees."
Indeed spoke to an unnamed Apple employee who said the company had "brilliant atmosphere and positive working relationships -- benefits are amazing", while another stated how "you meet great people there and it's a very supportive environment where they allow you to flourish and not just in skills related to the role".
It's a big statement for Apple to be the number one company to work for as it is only one of two tech firms on the entire list with Microsoft coming in at 23.
