CompTIA makes certification testing possible in the social distancing era
CompTIA is making taking your IT certification tests easier amid the COVID-19 outbreak

Social distancing to prevent the spread of COVID-19 has thrown wrenches in many folks' education, including those in the middle of earning the IT certifications they need to get ahead. CompTIA, the leader in vendor-neutral IT certification, has announced it'll offer relief in several ways.
The biggest announcement is CompTIA will allow IT professionals to complete their certifications from home. Todd Thibodeaux, president and CEO of CompTIA, said, "Together with our partner Pearson VUE, CompTIA certification exams will soon be available via a remote testing option so candidates can take their exam whenever and from wherever they choose."
If you've already set up your proctored test at Pearson VUE and prefer the remote route, you can contact CompTIA and reschedule the exam to be remote.
Remote testing is not active just yet, though. CompTIA expects to launch this new system in about 30 days. This will give our up-and-coming and experienced IT professionals the ability to get the certs they need in these crazy times.
CompTIA is further helping tech professionals by extending the expiration dates on all its certification exam vouchers. Any vouchers set to expire between March 17, 2020 and April 30, 2020 will be extended until June 30, 2020.
We'll keep an eye on this developing news and update you once the remote testing is active. Alternatively, you can keep an eye on CompTIA's help page for updates.
