Box adds former Googler to executive team
Father of Google Docs joins as Box's vice president of engineering
Enterprise cloud storage and collaboration provider Box has announced two new arrivals in the form of Sam Schillace as vice president of engineering and Evan Wittenberg as vice president of people.
Schillace was the co-founder and CEO of Writely, which was acquired in 2006 by Google and later became Google Docs. While at Google, he oversaw Docs as an engineering director, before taking responsibility for almost all of Google Apps, including Gmail, Blogger and Picasa. At Box, he will be responsible for running the company’s engineering division.
Wittenberg joins from HP, where he was chief talent officer, and is also a Google alumnus.
