Future Technologies and Intel announce the opening of Atlanta Innovation Center
New 10,000-square-foot facility offers a working environment to develop and test industry 4.0 use cases

Future Technologies and Intel have developed an Innovation Center in Atlanta, Georgia to aid enterprises in their digital transformation efforts.
The lab connects all facets of technology, including connectivity (LoRa, Wi-Fi 6, 4G, 5G, CBRS, Fiber, Facebook Terragraph 60 GHz, BLE) and computing (cloud, edge, hybrid).
According to the founding members, the Innovation Center “will provide a working environment to ideate, create and test next-generation use case solutions” that address technologically complex problems and allows the comparison of multiple connectivity and industrial solutions under real-world conditions. The facility also includes network monitoring and simulation tools for testing bandwidth, latency, RF interference, and more.
Intel VP and GM of 5G network business incubation Caroline Chan stated, “The utilization of private networks and edge computing across a diverse set of use cases is gaining momentum across a variety of industries. Intel is proud to be a founding member of Future Technologies Innovation Center. We believe that this innovation center will be vital to bring together the many partners, ensure interoperability, and showcase real-world implementations as we continue to drive private networks momentum into production.”
Future Technologies’ six-step engagement protocol that includes business case review, technology demo, customer field demo, proof of concept, deployment, and SLA support ensures clients can visualize and customize their use cases.
The firm also created a partner ecosystem to help the Innovation Center adapt to clients’ individual needs. Notable use cases include remote expert, internet of things (IoT) in a box, computer vision, and asset health. The facility will grow to include mobile robotics, drones, and push-to-talk, among other automation solutions.
The Innovation Center is also backed by Cambium Networks, Tecore Networks, Nokia, Megh Computing, Librestream, and KCF Technologies.
