Ping Identity has announced the acquisition of SecuredTouch, as the intelligent identity solutions provider looks to accelerate its identity fraud capabilities.

Founded in 2015, SecuredTouch is a leader in bot attack prevention, identity risk and fraud intelligence. The firm’s solution provides early visibility into potential malicious activity happening across digital properties.

Through its sophisticated bot detection and account takeover protection, SecuredTouch can be leveraged to deliver a more secure and seamless experience for customers, the firm said.

“Identity isn’t just about knowing who customers are, it’s about knowing when someone is pretending to be a customer,” explained Andre Durand, founder and CEO of Ping Identity. “As companies undergo massive digital transformation initiatives, the need for seamless, frictionless, and secure identity solutions to confidently understand both those situations is imperative.

“The acquisition of SecuredTouch accelerates our vision for cloud-delivered intelligent identity solutions that combat malicious behaviour such as bots, emulators, and account takeover.”

Ping Identity’s PingOne Cloud Platform provides customers, workforce and partners with access to cloud, mobile, SaaS and on-premises applications across hybrid environments.

SecuredTouch will now be integrated with the platform, adding access to advanced signals, data and intelligence to gain greater understanding of malicious behaviour and ramp up authentication when necessary.

Customers will be able to deploy SecuredTouch as a standalone solution or as part of its wider platform, the company said.

“This is a defining moment for our industry as identity security and fraud come together,” commented Alasdair Rambaud, SecuredTouch CEO. “Ping Identity’s enterprise-proven and robust platform provides the perfect foundation for SecuredTouch’s advanced fraud detection capabilities.”

Ran Shulkind, co-founder and general manager of SecuredTouch, said that Ping Identity is the “perfect fit” for its team, products and technology.

“We look forward to joining forces to accelerate our mission of bringing the most advanced fraud detection solutions to companies across the globe,” he said.
