Dell Technologies has renewed its partnership with the London Office for Rapid Cybersecurity Advancement (LORCA) in a bid to better support UK-based cyber security startups.

The partnership will enable LORCA members to collaborate with Dell to "innovate" and "iterate" the company's cyber security services while also supporting their own growth and development.

Dell has been LORCA partner since 2018, offering networking, coaching and technical support to UK startups. The tech giant has also connected LORCA to other high profile companies for mentorship and advice.

The firm currently owns VMware and has a long-standing partnership with Nvidia, both of which will also be involved in the LORCA deal with senior leaders from all three companies set to be on hand to offer advice to the startups.

Dell will also participate in industry forums and roundtables held by LORCA, which bring together cyber innovators, industry leaders, academic experts and policymakers to explore the security challenges industries face and identify the opportunity for innovation.

"It's never been more important to build security and trust into the digital infrastructure underpinning our lives and economy,' said Saj Huq, the director of LORCA. "To do that, it's critical that industry and the startup ecosystem work in tandem to build and scale the solutions we need now and in the future.

"Dell Technologies support provides our cohort companies with the resources, connections and insights they need to grow and succeed, driving rapid progress in the cybersecurity ecosystem and creating a safer internet for everyone."

The partnership will also aid Dell in its goal to develop and promote more diversity in cyber. LORCA cohort members will have the option to be connected to Dell's Women Entrepreneur Network (DWEN), which supports and promotes the growth of female-founded businesses.

"Engaging with the cyber innovation ecosystem is important for Dell Technologies, and we are looking forward to collaborating more closely with the start-ups in LORCA's network," said Margarete McGrath, the chief digital officer for Dell Technologies.
