PNY strikes Nvidia Networking distribution agreement
Th deal will enable the firm to provide a complete portfolio of Nvidia Networking products
PNY Technologies has announced a new distribution deal with Nvidia, which the firm says will enable it to provide a complete portfolio of Nvidia Networking products for data centre applications.
As an Nvidia direct global distributor, PNY now offers the entire range of InfiniBand and Ethernet networking switches, cables, as well as adapter cards/network interface cards (NICs).
"The high-performance computing, cloud, Web 2.0, machine learning, data analytics, and storage markets are driving increasing demands for more computing power, efficiency, and scalability," explained Steven Kaner, senior vice president of Sales and Marketing at PNY.
"To meet these needs, PNY is proud to partner with Nvidia to deliver complete end-to-end solutions supporting Ethernet and InfiniBand networking technologies.”
Nvidia Networking aims to accelerate and offload data transfers to ensure compute sources never “go hungry” due to lack of data or bandwidth. Its smart adapters and switches reduce latency, increase efficiency, enhance security, and simplify data centre automation so applications can run faster, according to the company.
The company boasts high performance interconnect solutions, switches, adapters, and cables up to 400Gb/s, differentiating itself by offering components based on its own non-generic fabric and flexibility of Open Ethernet.
The networking roster available from PNY includes the Nvidia ConnectX family of SmartNICs and InfiniBand adapters, Nvidia Ethernet switching solutions, high-performance InfiniBand Switches, as well as the Nvidia LinkX family of cables and transceivers.

Alongside its expertise on data centre solutions, PNY says that its agreement with Nvidia enables it to offer flexibility, reliability and reactivity to its partners.
“This exciting new arena will allow PNY to comprehensively support our partner ecosystem and customers as they scale out and scale up their data centre networking infrastructure to deliver the solutions only elastic and high-performance data centres can offer," Kaner added.
