Bitglass switches on Ignition with UK distie
Ignition Technology will resell Bitglass's CASB and mobile security service
Bitglass has teamed up with Ignition Technology to help distribute its Cloud Access Security Broker (CASB) and agentless mobile security services to UK-based businesses via resellers and partners.
The cloud security firm explained it decided to make the move because enterprises are increasingly asking for cloud security as they move to the cloud and as security risks rise. The company's services will join other security products offered by Ignition, including Cylance's AI-powered threat prevention, and White Hat's app security.
“Adding Bitglass to our growing portfolio of software based security solutions allows our channel partners to address many of their customers’ growing data protection challenges, including GDPR, shadow IT, BYOD and the prolific rise of malware," Sean Remnant, chief strategy officer at Ignition Technology, said. "We’re already working with a handful of partners and are looking to grow to around eight focused partners in total.”
“The increasing demand for solutions that protect data across cloud environments and mobile devices has started to manifest into real budget lines and RFIs which is a great opportunity for our channel partners," he added.
Eduard Meelhuysen, VP of sales for EMEA at Bitglass, added that partnering with Ignition would allow it to help its customers understand the benefits and flexibility of using the cloud over on-premise infrastructure, without having the extra worries of securing their data.
"We are very pleased to be rolling out the Bitglass CASB and agentless mobile security solution in partnership with Ignition Technology and look forward to building close relationships with partners in the region," Meelhuysen finished.
