OpenText becomes a Dell EMC Select partner
OpenText InfoArchive will now be available as part of Dell EMC's IT tranformation initiative
OpenText has signed a reseller agreement with Dell EMC, introducing OpenText InfoArchive as part of the Dell EMC IT transformation offering. The product will be available immediately through Dell EMC's sales channels, the company revealed.
InfoArchive will work with Dell EMC’s storage platforms such as Isilon and ECS as well as its Application Archiving and Retirement Service, helping businesses become more compliant with enhanced information analytics capabilities.
Combined, OpenText and Dell EMC's joint offerings will mean businesses are able to move from their legacy infrastructure, managing data across multiple applications without needing to continue maintaining out-of-date architecture.
“A modern digital strategy enables enterprise customers to simplify IT, reduce operational costs, streamline compliance and deliver business insight,” said Adam Howatson, CMO at OpenText. “A major roadblock to realising complete digital transformation of an organisation is the enormous volume of data and content contained in legacy systems.”
He added that the new agreement paves the way for Dell EMC and OpenText to work closely together in the future, helping businesses meet and exceed their digital transformation goals. However, neither business has revealed what the next stage in the relationship will be or whether OpenText will be bringing new products to Dell EMC's lineup.
“We are excited to partner with OpenText to deliver an archiving platform to support our customers’ application transformation requirements,” said Mike Arterbury, vice president of Technology Alliances at Dell EMC. “We look forward to working closely with OpenText to engage in opportunities where we can maximise our collective resources to solve customer problems.”
