Comstor appoints new sales director to improve partner engagement

A group of people sat around a table discussing business data.

Comstor has appointed automation expert Leigh Howard as UK & Ireland sales director of its Cisco-dedicated Comstor business.

Howard joins the company from renewals automation Renewtrak, where he worked closely with the founders of the company to develop its presence in both the APAC and EMEA regions. Before that, he worked as commercial director for Exclusive Networks' Pacific region, working alongside various vendors including Nutanix, A10 Networks, IGEL and Rittal to help them build a valuable data centre product offering.

“Leigh is proven, respected and a great fit for us," said Clive Hailstone, Comstor's newly appointed. "His rich experience, engaging manner and ability to understand partners’ needs will be central to our success as we introduce new partners into the Cisco world, and work more closely with our existing ones to ensure they really profit from their Cisco business.

"With Cisco game changing technologies, Comstor’s enablement and support initiatives, and Leigh’s guidance and direction, now is a very good time to be a Cisco and Comstor partner.”

Howard is no stranger to the Westcon-Comstor business. He spent almost 15 years at Westcon before it merged with Comstor, heading up the company's sales divisions in the UK and Australia, before becoming MD in 2009.

“Comstor is synonymous with customer service excellence and an unmatched understanding of everything Cisco," Howard said. "However, I aim to raise the bar even higher and ensure this exceptionally talented Comstor team is the best any UK partner can work with.

"We’re here to advise, guide and mentor new partners wanting to invest in a Cisco business and enable existing partners to develop their Cisco capabilities.”
