Snom Technology has announced Fabio Albanini as its new UK Head of Sales, as the IP telephony specialist looks to fast-track regional growth.

Already general manager of Snom Technology Italy and Head of Sales for South Europe, Albanini is tasked with communicating new products to the existing UK team, as well as the launch of Snom’s bolstered partner programme.

‘‘The UK has always been a very important market for us and I’m looking forward to working alongside UK Distribution Director Alison Tetlow and Channel Director Brett Kershaw, supporting our customers with technical pre and post-sales support,’’ Albanini said.

Snom has served the UK telecommunications market for more than a decade, building partnerships with international organisations such as Trust Distribution Ltd., Xelion and Vtel. The firm also launched its improved partner program earlier in the year, offering partners real financial and joint marketing incentives.

“Our goal in the UK is simple – to leverage existing relationships with partners by investing in people and resources,” said Gernot Sagl, CEO at Snom Technology. “It was very important that we recruit from within the Snom family and Fabio Albanini has been part of the team for more than nine years now.

“In that time, he has been responsible for developing important partnerships with Telcos, VoIP carriers and the channel, achieving year-on-year sales growth. We’re thrilled to have him on board as he continues to contribute to Snom’s European success.’’

Snom also plans to roll out multiple new features, including regular updates on sales and technical topics, while new partners and distributors will have the opportunity to partake in free training courses and receive certification.

“As well as offering best-in-class phones, giving our partners access to vital information and resources is a key differentiator in a market where companies need to keep one step ahead by delivering value-added services to customers,” Albanini added.
