Ipswitch has announced the opening of its new EMEA centre of excellence in Galway, Ireland, helping to drive forward its growth strategy in the region.

The new headquarters will house much of the company's channel division in EMEA, offering partners and customers access to localised sales and technical support. To help facilitate this, it will boast a dedicated partner and customer demonstration suite for sales to help with training and events.

“The opening of our state of the art office in a prime city centre location will allow us to scale to grow the needs of our large client base and attract the talent we need for our business," Michael Hack, SVP of EMEA operations, said.

"Having a dedicated senior and technical team in the heart of Europe will have a big impact on the level of support and business development we can offer our partner network and customers across the region, ultimately driving growth.”

Ipswitch will also onboard 60 new members of staff, supported by the Department of Jobs, Enterprise & Innovation through IDA Ireland.

The company will work closely with the National University of Ireland Galway and Galway Mayo Institute of Technology Business & Computer Science to fill a number of graduate roles in the company, promoting job opportunities in Ireland's tech sector.

“IDA is delighted to see Ipswitch confirm its commitment to Galway with this move to permanent offices, allowing the company to grow its staff up to the full complement of 60 jobs announced in March and allowing scope for further growth," IDA’s regional business development manager for the West, Catherina Blewitt, added.

"The arrival of this global IT management software company has added considerably to the region’s reputation as a major technology hub. We look forward to supporting the company in its future growth and wish them continued success here.”
