Kaspersky announces new License Management Portal for partners
The portal brings in a new pay-as-you-go billing plan for monthly subscriptions
Cybersecurity provider Kaspersky has unveiled a new License Management Portal (LMP) for MSPs and resellers, designed to streamline the process of license ordering, management and reporting.
Available now from within the Kaspersky United Partner Portal, the addition also includes a new pay-as-you-go billing plan for monthly subscriptions, the firm revealed, enabling more flexibility for partners when providing services to customers.
The move follows an encouraging period for Kaspersky’s channel, as the Moscow-headquartered continues to target the managed services IT market.
“MSPs are a strategic priority for Kaspersky and over the last year, the Kaspersky MSP channel has showed good growth,” commented Dmitry Golubtsov, head of MSP Business at Kaspersky.
“The number of partners that registered and are already selling continues to increase. As a result, the year-on-year MSP revenue growth reached 60%.”
Kaspersky said its new License Management Portal provides the “shortest possible journey” from activating a trial version of a product to implementing commercial use through its new pay-as-you-go model.
Partners can generate a trial license for any Kaspersky product, increase or decrease the quantity of subscriptions to suit their unique needs, while only paying for the actual number of nodes they use each day of the month.

From the dashboard, resellers and MSPs can also view reports on all their customers, statuses of active subscriptions and information about real-time usage of licenses. Users will also have access to analytics on elements such as which products services are provided, number of licenses sold and how the number of protected devices changes.
From here, MSPs can find new opportunities by suggesting product upgrades or complementary products for trial, the firm explained.
“The launch of the Kaspersky License Management Portal is the next step in our strategy to bolster our partner ecosystem and provide our partners with tools that help them offer more services based on Kaspersky products,” Golubtsov added.
