Huawei empowers SMEs through digital and intelligent transformation
Huawei launches new solutions and strengthens partnerships to drive digital transformation for SMEs, aiming to empower small businesses in the intelligent era

During Gitex Global 2024, Huawei hosted the Commercial Market Summit under the theme of "Joining Hands with Partners to Amplify Intelligence for SMEs."
At the event, Huawei launched 17 new products, and six new solutions designed for the global SME market. The company also shared its achievements in strategic investment in the commercial market and underlined its commitment to a partner-centric approach to serve hundreds of thousands of customers globally.
Huawei is positioning itself as a key enabler for SMEs striving to stay competitive in the digital age. By leveraging cutting-edge technology and a partner-driven approach, Huawei aims to accelerate digital intelligence adoption across industries such as education, healthcare, and manufacturing, ultimately reshaping how SMEs operate.
Empowering SMEs with new products and solutions
At Gitex Global 2024, Huawei introduced a range of innovative solutions tailored to help SMEs embrace digital transformation. The new products and solutions span multiple industries, from education and healthcare to manufacturing.
For example, the IdeaHub K3 is a breakthrough product for the education sector, transforming traditional classrooms into interactive and engaging learning environments. In the manufacturing industry, Huawei’s upgraded high-quality factory network solution becomes a strong backbone for flexible production processes. SMEs, in particular, stand to benefit significantly from the newly launched simplified all-flash data center solution, which offers top-notch IT infrastructure in an accessible package.
For managed service providers (MSPs) in the commercial market, Huawei’s solutions are designed for easy selling, delivery, and growth, ensuring SMEs have access to diverse and effective services. By making digital solutions simpler and more adaptable, Huawei is enabling SMEs to reduce operational challenges and enhance productivity.
A partnership-driven approach
Huawei’s strategy is deeply rooted in collaboration. At the Gitex Global 2024, Ernest Zhang, president of the partner development and commercial and distribution business department at Huawei, underscored the company's partner-centric approach. He highlighted Huawei’s ongoing efforts to build a mutually beneficial ecosystem where partners are empowered to deliver cutting-edge digital solutions effectively.
Huawei aims to work hand-in-hand with partners to gain in-depth insights into customer requirements across industries, develop competitive products and scenario-based solutions, and create a sustainable partnership system that empowers partners' digital capabilities.
Peter Zhang, director of the commercial business department, emphasized Huawei’s focus on building a partner-centric and trustable ecosystem that provides partners with more benefits, incentives, and profits. By focusing on a partner-led strategy, Huawei aims to provide a pathway for SMEs to adopt digital technologies that best suit their unique needs.
Through its partner ecosystem, Huawei works closely with thousands of partners worldwide, providing them with scenario-based solutions that meet local market requirements. This approach ensures that Huawei’s solutions are practical and directly address the needs of SMEs, while also allowing partners to grow alongside Huawei by gaining access to more incentives and profits. The focus on building a sustainable partner ecosystem reinforces Huawei’s belief that shared success is the key to navigating the intelligent future.
Real-world examples of transformation
Huawei’s technologies are already making a difference for businesses worldwide. At the Huawei Commercial Market Summit, Yusuf Ahmed, CEO of KEMS Zajil Telecom, the largest internet service provider in Kuwait, shared how enterprises in Kuwait are adopting cloud-based solutions to support the anything-as-a-service (XaaS) trend. By leveraging Huawei’s technology, KEMS Zajil Telecom has provided customers with flexible, diverse, and innovative solutions that cater to the evolving demands of the market.
Similarly, Richard Pearson, CPDO of SIBCA in the UAE, spoke about its partnership with Huawei to advance green and intelligent building solutions. This collaboration highlights the growing recognition of sustainable and intelligent infrastructure across industries, positioning Huawei as a leader in supporting the transformation to smarter, more efficient practices. SIBCA hopes to expand its cooperation with Huawei beyond networks and storage to include data centers, cloud, and AI, driving greener and smarter construction in the future.
Building digital infrastructure and local talent
Speaking at the Huawei Industrial Digital and Intelligent Transformation Summit 2024, Li Peng, corporate senior vice president and president of ICT sales & service at Huawei, reiterated the importance of building strong digital infrastructure to support SMEs.
Huawei’s "One Cloud, One Network" solution is an example of how the company is integrating multiple technologies to provide inclusive connectivity that benefits both SMEs and larger enterprises.
Huawei is not only focusing on digital infrastructure but also on cultivating local talent to ensure long-term growth. Through its ICT Academies, Huawei has trained tens of thousands of ICT professionals across the Middle East and Africa, helping bridge the skills gap that is critical for SMEs to succeed in the digital economy. By investing in talent development, Huawei is contributing to the creation of a robust digital talent ecosystem that can drive sustainable economic growth.
Huawei's commitment to enhancing digitalization across industries is demonstrated through its extensive partnership network and ongoing initiatives. Li Peng highlighted during his keynote that Huawei is working closely with partners to establish OpenLabs, which serve as hubs for joint innovation. In the UAE alone, Huawei has collaborated with more than 30 solution partners, creating 20-plus industry-specific solutions that cater to local needs.
These efforts are part of Huawei’s broader mission to enable SMEs to accelerate their digital transformation journey. By providing lightweight, marketable solutions and efficient digital platforms, Huawei ensures that SMEs have the tools they need to thrive. Additionally, Huawei’s "All Intelligence" strategy serves as a foundation for guiding industries toward smarter, more connected systems.
Growing together in the intelligent era
As the world moves towards an intelligent future, Huawei remains committed to working hand-in-hand with partners and SMEs to realize shared success. By focusing on collaboration, innovation, and local talent development, Huawei aims to create a thriving digital ecosystem where all businesses — regardless of size — can benefit from digital and intelligent technologies.
Huawei encourages more SMEs and partners to join them in this journey, seizing the opportunities presented by the intelligent era and transforming challenges into growth opportunities. Together, Huawei and its partners are not just building digital infrastructure but are also shaping the future of the digital economy, ensuring that SMEs around the world can thrive in a rapidly changing environment.
