Ingram Micro has announced a number of new appointments to its vendor engagement team, aiming to strengthen ties with the channel and help to grow the business in EMEA.

Jacek Murawski, previously general manager and VP EMEA for Odin Automation, will become vice president of EMEA vendor engagement. He brings extensive knowledge of the distributor and vendor relationship in his previous roles at Odin and as general manager of Microsoft Poland, general manager for Dell in Eastern Europe, and senior VP of strategic industries in EMEA with SAP.

Murawski will replace Tasneem Baldiwala, who has been promoted to a strategic planning and execution role within Ingram Micro EMEA.

Reporting to Murawski, Günter Schiessl will be promoted from his volume vendor management position at Ingram Micro Germany to become the company's volume vendor engagement team in EMEA. Also reporting to Murawski will be Jordi Muñoz, who moves from Ingram Micro Spain to become the company's value vendor engagement team lead in EMEA.

Former EMEA value vendor engagement team lead, Mark Chlebek, has become executive director of EMEA development at the company.

“Each of these individuals is well respected in our industry, having distinguished themselves as experts in their fields," Sabine Howest, Ingram Micro vice president of global vendor engagement, said.

"We are extremely pleased to be strengthening and investing in our regional go-to-market team and capabilities in EMEA. In 2017, you will see Ingram Micro put our vendors’ and resellers’ needs at our core as we aggressively grow our market relevance. These changes reflect Ingram Micro’s commitment to play an ever-increasing leadership role in the EMEA market.”
