Extreme Networks bolsters partner offering with new benefits
Channel revamp also sees three product leaders promoted to new executive positions
Extreme Networks has announced a host of new elements to its partner program, as well as the promotion of three of its product leaders into new executive positions.
Announcing the changes at its Ignite Partner Conference, the firm said the additions to its program will give partners a competitive advantage in selling and deploying its solutions.
The initiative now features three new badges, designed to provide partners with deeper dedicated knowledge and expertise on key topics: State and Local Government Partners, Sports and Entertainment Deliver Partner, and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Partners.
Partners also now have access to new training material, which includes technical training on Extreme Fabric Connect, bonus sales content, as well as a product-focused Livestream series.
Later in 2022, Extreme Networks said it will also launch the Extreme Certified Professional Program, which will offer an expanded and modular curriculum for more choice and depth of learning experience.
Partners that currently hold an Extreme Certified Specialist badge will be able to “up-level” their training via the new courses to qualify as an Extreme Certified Professional, the firm explained.
Additionally, the refreshed initiative now offers extended Customer Success support programs to help drive value through the lifecycle of Extreme subscriptions, as well as grant writing services from a team of experts to help secure funding.

“These new program enhancements will help our partners deepen their technical knowledge, strengthen their market position and fill skills gaps within their organisations,” commented Scott Peterson, SVP of Global Channels at Extreme Networks.
“Our program offers a balance of technical expertise, successful selling motions and value-added services that differentiate the performance of our products in market.”
Leadership refresh
Extreme Networks also announced it has promoted three of its veteran product leaders into new executive positions as the firm looks to drive forward its next phase of growth.
Cristian Mircea has been named as Chief Development Officer, Markus Nispel takes on the role of Chief Technology Officer for EMEA, while Dan DeBacker steps up to become the company’s Vice President of Enterasys Networks.
“As we take the next step in our evolution as a leader in cloud networking, it’s both critical and opportunistic to establish new pillars of leadership across our organisation,” said Nabil Bukhari, Chief Technology Officer and Chief Product Officer at Extreme Networks.
“Cristian, Markus and Dan are not only experts, but they’ve established themselves as passionate, motivated and seasoned strategists that can execute to plan every time. Their institutional and industry knowledge gives me confidence that they’ll have immediate impact in these new roles.”
