Arrow Electronics (NYSE: ARW) has announced it is to add Oracle (NYSE:ORCL) Cloud services to its ArrowSphere cloud services platform.

“Given Arrow’s long-standing, global relationship with Oracle, we are delighted to deliver Oracle cloud solutions to our North American solution provider community,” comments Sean Kerins, president of Arrow’s global enterprise computing solutions business.

“Our goal is to create the industry’s most compelling cloud offering, and this agreement represents a significant addition for solution providers seeking to move up the ‘stack.’ This addition aligns well to our strategy to provide a robust cloud portfolio, including SaaS solutions that address key business needs.”

Oracle says it is offering its cloud services through the channel to “broaden its market reach and help its partner community extend their own opportunities and revenue potential with the cloud.”

“There are many corners of the market and globe Oracle simply cannot reach,” says Bruce Chumley, group VP, worldwide alliances and channels, distribution channels, Oracle.

“Our success relies on our partners’ ability to sell and implement Oracle Cloud services in the broad market. For this very reason, we continue to invest more resources in helping partners maximise their cloud-based opportunities, in turn, extending the opportunities for our customers.”

He continues: “The addition of Oracle Cloud services to Oracle’s VAD distribution offerings will not only help extend our reach, but also give both our reseller partners and our customers the chance to work with skilled cloud experts in their local markets. It’s a win-win for everyone.”

ArrowSphere connects solution and MSPs and ISVs globally with a portfolio of cloud services. The platform features customisable web stores through selling Arrow-authorised cloud offerings.

Arrow is a Platinum level member of Oracle PartnerNetwork (OPN).
