Arrow snaps up Circle IT, Fabric IT

Arrow Business Communications has announced the acquisition of the Circle Group, which includes Circle IT Solutions and Fabric IT, for an undisclosed sum.

The move becomes Arrow’s fifth acquisition so far this year, as the telecoms and IT consultancy firm steams ahead with its expansion strategy.

Announcing its latest addition, Arrow said Circle’s solutions complement its own offerings and the strong synergies, and that recent acquisitions will help facilitate the group’s organic growth and expertise.

Founded in 2002, Circle offers large-scale IT consultancy, design and implementation with a focus on cloud enablement through its eight Microsoft Gold Certifications. This Microsoft expertise was bolstered back in March when Circle acquired Macclesfield-based software provider and IT support business Fabric.

Arrow CEO Richard Burke said that the acquisition “completes Arrow’s solution portfolio” and ensures the company will continue to provide relevant solutions across its three customer demographics of enterprise, public sector and mid-market.

“I am really excited to welcome the Circle and Fabric teams into the Arrow family,” he said. “The cultural alignment of the businesses has stood out throughout the acquisition process, which in addition to the high level of technical skill sets across the organisations that will enhance Arrow’s cloud, Microsoft and networking capability even further following recent acquisitions, I’m sure the partnership moving forward will be a great success”.

Circle has built a national customer base that includes clients such as UKTV, Harrison Clark Rickerbys and Cardiff University. As a result of the takeover, the firm’s 100+ staff based at the Cardiff Gate Business Park headquarters will now become part of Arrow.

Circle founder Roger Harry also becomes major shareholder within the Arrow Group and will play a key role in its future strategy and growth, it said.

“I am delighted that Circle has joined Arrow Business Communications and look forward to the opportunities that Circle will see as a result,” Harry commented. “Over the coming years I’m excited to continue to drive the growth of the business as a major shareholder in the Group. It is an exciting new chapter for us.”
