Salesforce launches AppExchange partner programme
The new offering will replace Salesforce's existing ISV partner programme
Salesforce has unveiled a new partner programme designed for developers, startups and ISVs who want to build and market applications based on the cloud platform.
“The convergence of AI, IoT and massive datasets has created incredible new opportunities for developers to move beyond the app - and build components, intelligent bots, data streams and more,” said Leyla Seka, executive vice president of AppExchange, Salesforce.
“The new AppExchange Partner Programme empowers the next generation of Salesforce ISVs with a single destination for everything they need to succeed - the training to create solutions on cutting-edge Salesforce technology and the programs to turn them into businesses with global reach.”
Salesforce's AppExchange programme will replace the current ISV Partner programme, with an entirely new pricing structure based on the partner's AppExchange Trailblazer Score to foster growth. It will comprise customer success, product success, team readiness and giving back through participation as part of Salesforce's Pledge 1% programme.
Salesforce has also reduced the percent-net-revenue (PNR) for new AppExchange Partner Programme partners by 10% and will offer a new onboarding process to make it faster for companies to turn their ideas into fully-functioning apps.
Partners can also take advantage of technology tools including Salesforce DX and free Heroku access so partners an build apps in their preferred language.
“The Salesforce Partner Programme has allowed us to build, test and bring customer feedback intelligence to the Salesforce ecosystem, and in doing so, has given us the ability to serve a whole new class of customers,” said Deepa Subramanian, CEO of Wootric.
