Palo Alto CFO Kathy Bonnano joins Google Cloud
Bonanno is leaving the cyber security firm to become business finance officer at Google Cloud
Palo Alto Networks has announced the departure of CFO Kathy Bonnano, who is leaving the cyber security firm to become business finance officer at Google Cloud.
Having joined Palo Alto back in 2014, Bonanno spent six successful years at the company, becoming vice president and chief financial officer in 2017.
Announcing the departure, Palo Alto said Bonanno will continue in her current role until the end of the fiscal year to ensure a smooth transition of responsibilities to her successor – former Amazon Web Services (AWS) CFO Luis Felipe Visoso.
"Kathy has presided over our financial team during Palo Alto Networks' tremendous expansion into a multi-platform security company," said Nikesh Arora, Palo Alto Networks chairman and CEO.
"She has chosen a close partner of ours for her next career step - one I know very well, and that has equally amazing people. I would like to thank Kathy for her many contributions to our company, and wish her the very best and continued success in her new role".
Luis Felipe Visoso will take over from Bonanno on 1 July, Palo Alto said, having previously served as CFO for AWS. Prior to that, he was also CFO for Amazon's Worldwide Consumer division, as well as an earlier senior finance role at Cisco.
"Luis has a phenomenal track record growing businesses in a financially disciplined manner," Arora said.

Bonanno and Visoso will work together through until 31 July, to ensure a successful handover of responsibilities, Palo Alto said.
"Palo Alto Networks has a vision of a world where each day is safer and more secure - something I'm excited to be a part of," commented Visoso.
"This is a team that continues to innovate in a fast-growing industry. I look forward to creating value for customers, partners, employees and shareholders alike."
