IGEL Technology and its UK distributor IQ-Sys today have revealed plans to add new systems integrators and VARs to its partner base to meet demand for its thin clients in the large enterprise space.

IGEL says it saw a 16 percent increase in demand for its Universal Desktop thin clients in 2009, and year-on-year sales were up 80 percent in the first quarter of 2010. The firm provides its partners with its hardware, software and migration solutions, and cross-selling and system integration opportunities with brands such as Citrix Xen (CTXS), VMware (NYSE:VMW), Microsoft Server (MSFT) and Quest.

Says Simon Richards, IGEL’s UK general manager: “We need good partners to help our growth and in return they will have access to IGEL technology, which is not over distributed, is technically very strong and adds real value to the customers’ business.

“By joining IGEL’s partner programme, VARs and integrators will be working with a 100 percent channel-focused company that can offer a range of benefits including low-cost entry to a strongly growing market, access to marketing funds, deal registration and price protection, and 30 day evaluation units with a 70 percent conversion rate, as well as training and webinars to develop the sales team.”
